A group of teenagers were caught on camera on Sunday stealing thousands of dollars in merchandise from a metro dispensary. Police arrested eight suspects at gunpoint shortly after they left the southwest Oklahoma City store in separate cars.

Police said the call initially went out as a robbery. While the dispensary owner was distracted, police said the suspects went behind the counter and snatched up thousands of dollars in marijuana, vape pens, and rolling papers.

A security camera across the street captured three of the suspects casually leaving Relief Organic dispensary. A witness who wants to remain anonymous saw six of the suspects flee the scene in cars.

“So, I went over to the dispensary and asked if he got robbed, and he said, ‘Yeah’,” said a witness. “They jumped him and stole all his top-shelf products.”

Police were given the description of the suspects' vehicles. Within minutes, officers in the area of Interstate 44 and southwest 15th street spotted a white SUV and truck. Officers made a high-risk felony traffic stop and located eight suspects in the vehicles, their ages ranging from 14 to 18 years of age.

News 9 was there when police searched the cars and found the reported stolen products.

“He said they took at least $2,000 worth of his product,” said a witness.

Our camera captured the teenagers being taken into custody. Police said 18-year-olds Carter Evans and Nehamiah Killensworth were booked into the Oklahoma County Detention Center while the younger suspects were taken to the juvenile facility.

The witness said the dispensary owner was not seriously injured, just roughed up. Police did not say if the suspects had weapons.

Police said all eight suspects face complaints of grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a felony.
