For the first time in over a decade, the OU women have made it to the Sweet 16! Saturday, the OU Sooners will take on the UCONN Huskies.
OU say they are feeling confident heading into the game.
"It's kind of been a whirlwind actually, there's been a lot going on, and at the same time, I think our team is really settled into practice to get better and obviously focus on continuing our season," said Head Coach Jennie Baranczyk.
"Just a lot of joy and happiness," said Guard Payton Verhulst. "I feel like just being able to appreciate being able to make it to the next round ... there's just a belonging here."
"It kind of didn't feel real after our game last week, but getting here, I'm like 'Okay, you're feeling it,'" said Forward Skylar Vann.
The Sooners are now looking to extend their tournament run against one of the nation’s top programs.
