A warning has been issued for Leedey, in Dewey County as an ongoing wildfire prompts evacuations and safety concerns.

News 9 Storm Tracker Marty Logan is tracking and reporting from the area and confirmed that the Ellis County Strike Team is on its way to assist with the fire response.

In addition, there are reports that Highway 47, south of Leedey, may be shut down due to the fire’s proximity. Marty is currently within 10 minutes of the fire’s location and is updating as the situation evolves.
