The University of Central Oklahoma announced Wednesday that women's basketball head coach Emma Andrews is leaving the program after three seasons.

UCO did not give a reason for the departure. The university said the search for a new head coach will begin immediately.

Andrews took over the program in May 2022 and compiled a 19-37 record in two seasons with the Bronchos. She has a career record of 92-124 as a head coach.

In her first season, she led UCO to the quarterfinals of the MIAA Basketball Championship, guiding the team to an opening-round win over Emporia State before falling to the tournament’s No. 2 seed. The Bronchos finished 8-20 overall in her second season, including a 7-15 mark in conference play.

Before joining UCO, Andrews spent six seasons as head coach at Cameron University in Lawton, leading the Aggies to five Lone Star Conference tournament appearances and an NCAA Division II tournament berth in 2020-21. She was an assistant at Cameron for two seasons before taking over as head coach in 2016.

Andrews is from Melbourne, Australia, and played collegiately at Fresno State from 2007-11. She later spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Fresno State.
