Family seeks justice after Edmond man stabbed

A family is grieving and searching for strength after their loved one, Darron Johnson, was killed while trying to visit his daughter.

Johnson was at Rolling Greens Apartments near Danforth Road in Edmond when an argument broke out between him, the child's mother, Kierra Barton, and her boyfriend, Joseph Jones. The dispute quickly escalated, with Jones stabbing Johnson in the chest with a knife.

Johnson ran across the street to a gas station, where he was treated by paramedics before being transported to OU Health Center. Johnson later died.

Both Barton and Jones were arrested and transferred to the Oklahoma County Detention Center.
