February 3, 2025, marked five years since an impaired driver ran into a group of cross-country and track students from Moore, killing three of them.
The families of the three victims and fellow students gathered at Moore High School for a tribute Monday.
Students ran around the track at the school for 10 minutes, finishing the 'race their classmates had started'.
Kolby Crum, Rachel Freeman, and Yuridia Martinez (pictured below) were only one minute into their run when they were hit.
News 9's Amanda Taylor sat down with their families ahead of the anniversary and spoke with them about how they will remember their children. The special will air on Thursday, February 6 at 10 p.m.
The man who killed the children was sentenced to life in prison.
