Highway Named After War Hero

Thousands of drivers will soon see a tribute to a Sand Springs war hero. The Oklahoma Transportation Commission voted to name a section of highway in honor of Staff Sergeant Billie Hall.

Sergeant Hall was a medic with the Green Berets. He lost both legs in an enemy attack, but treated injured soldiers for four hours until he died.

State Highway 151, which runs over Keystone Dam, has been named in his honor.
