TULSA, OK -- Some major highway projects in Tulsa are officially back on track. The Oklahoma Transportation Commission voted to approve more funding for improvements to I-44.
The money will pay for final construction plans for widening the highway from the Arkansas River to Peoria and for the Harvard interchange.
The commission had to put the projects on hold a couple of weeks ago, because the Federal Highway Trust Fund was almost out of money.
Congress fixed the problem by adding $8 billion to the fund.
