OKLAHOMA CITY -- New legislation being considered in Oklahoma City would let women in their final month of pregnancy park in handicapped parking spots.
The state lawmaker who wrote the bill says he does not see pregnancy as a disability, but recognizes there are physical challenges for women approaching their due date.
Doctors would be able to give pregnant women a note that would allow them to get a temporary handicapped placard.
The bill heads to the State House for debate.
