Saturday morning the drive through at Alvies Coffee Co. in Tuttle took on a different purpose.

A percentage of money exchanged for a favorite Alvies pick or an energy boost went toward the Minco softball team and their coaches.

This is following the horrific crash earlier in the week injuring seven and causing four to be ejected from the school bus.

Fundraiser organizer Samantha Martin said, ““I was devastated,” after learning of the crash.

Her connection to the incident would be one that was almost personal.

“So I played softball for Tuttle so softball's kinda just in my blood and then my mom is a softball coach and a bus driver and then they’re just our neighbors that it kinda really hits close to home when something like this happens,” added Martin.

Martin said they raised $256 to go toward whatever they need.
