Band Director Braden Wolf learned of the vandalism Thursday night.
He said after rehearsal, he opened his phone to a picture of the semi tagged with the letters LL6K.
“I just felt defeated. I was like, well, working so hard. and then this is just happening because for entertainment purposes. like what,” said Wolf.
It is not just Wolf who is upset.
“I would like for the person to be caught who did this,” said Moore High School mom Karlee Abtin who also said she was disheartened when she saw this.
“They work extremely hard and they deserve to have the very best that the school can provide,” added Abtin.
Wolf said some of his students did some digging pointing out a musical reference to the tag LL6K.
Wolf said the band plays at football games on Friday nights.
He said they also travel around the state on Saturdays competing against other bands. “For the first time in around a decade, maybe more, we are traveling to saint louis,” Wolf said.
They will be performing in a Bands of America super regional competition.
He said the only way to restore the trailer before going is by getting it wrapped costing close to $10,000.
Wolf is asking for a local company or group to help sponsor and cover the wrapping.
The school has also set up a site to help raise funds at Our Trailer Needs a Hero.
