In this week’s Therapy Thursday, therapist Haley Jurko with Sunbeam Family Services discusses the importance of creating healthy habits and sticking to them.
Jurko says it’s important to recognize the difference between a habit and a goal.
“A goal is really designed for what you’re hoping to get,” Jurko said. “A habit would be those little baby steps that you build and start doing to get to your goal.”
She says building healthy habits can improve mood and overall well-being, sharpen focus and time management, and boost self-esteem.
According to Jurko, connecting goals to something personal makes them easier to accomplish.
