Tuttle senior wide receiver Tyson Kennedy wasted no time making his mark in his Tiger debut, earning the season’s first Bob Hurley RV Athlete of the Week honor.
Kennedy hauled in nine catches for 123 yards, including a 55-yard touchdown from quarterback Cruz Campbell just before halftime, as Tuttle rolled to a 38-13 victory over Guthrie at Richison Family Stadium.
The senior also showcased his versatility, grabbing his first career interception on defense while adding seven total tackles, one for loss.
Kennedy wasn’t the only Tiger making plays. Senior running back Shawn Rounsaville Jr. powered the ground game with three rushing touchdowns, while Tuttle’s defense limited Guthrie to just one score in each half.
The win sets a strong tone for the Tigers, with Kennedy emerging as a two-way difference-maker right out of the gate.
