The East Tulsa Senior Community Festival will provide a day of free activities and resources for the area’s senior population.
The festival will include live entertainment, dancing, bingo with prizes, a fitness session for seniors and families, food, giveaways, and 200 grocery boxes available for the first 200 seniors in attendance.
The event is designed to create a welcoming environment where seniors feel valued and connected while linking them with community partners and resources.
Events like the East Tulsa Senior Community Festival aim to go beyond entertainment. They help combat isolation, foster connection, and provide seniors with access to resources they may not otherwise know exist.
The festival also strengthens relationships between seniors, their families, and local organizations serving the community.
Community members can support seniors by participating in events, volunteering, or engaging with senior-focused programs.
Organizers say even simple acts of connection, such as listening to seniors’ stories, can have a meaningful impact.
Date: Saturday, August 23, noon - 4 p.m.
Location: YMCA East, 12150 E. 11th St.
