Families will have a chance to experience the world of Scouting during a special event in Broken Arrow next month.

On Saturday, September 13, Scouting America’s Indian Nations Council is hosting ‘Be a Scout Day’ at Jack Graves Scout Reservation from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is open to all kids from kindergarten through fifth grade. Activities will include archery, BB shooting, fishing, crafts, games, and Scout skill demonstrations. Organizers say current Cub Scouts are welcome to join in as well, and families are encouraged to bring friends.

‘Be a Scout Day is a perfect opportunity for families to discover the excitement and benefits of Scouting in a fun, hands-on environment,’ Scouting America said in a release.

Food will be available for purchase at the event.
