A 32-year-old woman was shot and killed, and a 50-year-old man was left seriously injured near East 36th Street and South Yale Avenue Saturday afternoon, according to Tulsa Police.

On August 16, at around 6:07 p.m., TPD responded to a shooting and found the woman, Heather Martinez, unresponsive, and another victim with gunshot wounds to the chest. Officers say witnesses saw a red car shoot at a gray Suburban before driving away.

Police have not identified the primary suspect in this incident, but have arrested Jacqueline Hull, who is described as an accomplice.

Officials say Martinez was shot in the head and died from her injuries. The male victim was stabilized at the scene by first responders and is expected to recover at the hospital.

Witnesses told TPD that a man driving the red car got out and began arguing with the victims before the shooting began. The suspect left the scene soon after witnesses heard two to five gunshots, officials say.

Investigators have ruled out a road rage scenario and say that, even with no known motive, they are determining that this was not a random attack.

Police are asking people with any additional information on the incident to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.

This is an ongoing investigation.
