"Cowboy Bob" - a giant fiberglass statue of a cowboy - now stands over Route 66 near 11th and Peoria, as a brand ambassador for Buck's Vintage, a souvenir store. The giant joins Buck Atom, and Stella, by "Buck Atom's Cosmic Curios," and Mack by the restored Meadow Gold sign.

The collection is a creation of Mary Beth Babcock, who owns three stores in the area, all tied to Route 66 tourism.

"It is neat when someone says, 'Wow, look what's happened, look at the change, that's exciting,'" said Babcock, surrounded by signs of renewal with other businesses opening around her.

She said her own childhood memories of a "Muffler Man" in Enid helped inspire her to have new versions created to stand outside her stores. The next, and last one for the area, she says, is a "Rosie the Riveter" by Josey Records on 11th Street.
