Two workers remain in the hospital after being shocked while working at a construction site in Tulsa.

Tulsa firefighters responded to a home near Admiral Boulevard and North Yorktown Avenue on Wednesday afternoon, where crews were working on the foundation. Fire officials said they initially received a call about a possible structural collapse, but learned the situation involved an electric shock.

Firefighters said one of the workers was trapped between the floor and the foundation. Rescue teams followed footprints to determine where he was under the house, then cut a hole in the floor to reach him.

"We initially cut a hole in the floor to locate where he was in relation to the footprint," Tulsa Fire Chief Chad Miller said. "We cut a hole and pulled him up through the hole, provided medical care inside the home and then outside, and then into the ambulance."

The man was rushed to a hospital. A second worker also suffered an electric shock and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Fire officials said several other workers were on site at the time but were not hurt. Authorities have not released the conditions of the two injured workers.

This is a developing story.
