Police in Pryor have arrested a driver more than a year after a fatal crash, saying toxicology results confirmed he was under the influence of drugs at the time.

Pryor Creek Police Chief Steve Wingo said 33-year-old Tyler Thompson was behind the wheel in March 2024 when he hit the back of a semi truck stopped at a red light.

Investigators said Thompson’s passenger, Nancy Moore, suffered serious injuries in the collision and later died.

A blood test later showed Thompson was under the influence of methamphetamine and multiple other substances.

Police took Thompson into custody on Wednesday, booking him into the Mays County Jail on a first-degree manslaughter complaint.
