Tulsa Police make an arrest in connection to a 2019 murder case that had gone cold.

Jerrell Jones is now charged with felony murder in connection to a deadly robbery attempt from six years ago.

Investigators say two men were trying to rob a drug dealer in 2019 and forced the dealer upstairs to his apartment at gunpoint, but they ended up barging into the wrong apartment next door.

Ben Montgomery lived there and tackled one of the men to protect his friends. He was shot and killed during a struggle.

A witness recently came forward, saying he overheard Jerrell Jones setting up the robbery.

Jones is being held on a $1.5 million bond.

Detectives say more arrests could be made.
