Academy Award-winning actor and bestselling author Matthew McConaughey is bringing his Poems & Prayers Revival Tour to Tulsa this fall as part of a limited five-city run celebrating his new book.
The tour will stop at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on Friday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., combining live music, spoken word, and heartfelt conversation. The event centers around McConaughey’s upcoming book Poems & Prayers, a follow-up to his bestselling memoir Greenlights.
Tulsa joins New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville and Austin as one of just five cities selected for the tour.
At each stop, McConaughey will be joined by a special guest for an evening of honest dialogue, creative performance and personal reflection. According to McConaughey, the goal is to offer a space where people can reflect on life, faith and connection.
“It’s a memory,” McConaughey said of the new book. “A place where we can rediscover what we’ve lost, celebrate what remains, and maybe even leave behind what no longer serves us.”
Tickets are on sale now through the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Organizers advise purchasing only through official PAC outlets to avoid invalid third-party tickets.
