A Broken Arrow Little League softball team is preparing for the biggest tournament of their season — the Little League Softball World Series in Greenville, North Carolina — and they are asking the community for help to get there.
The players, known locally as Team Oklahoma, earned their spot in the World Series after months of training and competing across the region. The team will represent Oklahoma on the national stage, bringing local pride to Greenville.
While their skills got them this far, the team needs financial help to cover travel costs. Organizers say $3,500 will help pay for lodging, meals and transportation during the event.
‘These girls have trained tirelessly, played their hearts out, and fought their way through some of the toughest competition in their region.
Now, they’ve punched their ticket to represent Oklahoma on the national stage, and we need your help to make it happen.
If you’ve ever been inspired by a team coming together to chase a dream, now’s your chance to be part of their journey,’ reads the GoFundMe description.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for the trip. Photos of the team are available on the fundraiser page for public use with attribution.
Those who want to donate or contact the fundraiser organizer can find more details through the GoFundMe page.
