1-year-old struck, killed by vehicle in Stillwater

Stillwater Police describe the incident as an accident and say so far, no charges have been filed. Details are still being investigated.

TULSA, Okla. -

The Stillwater Police Department confirmed a 1-year-old died after being hit by a vehicle late Thursday afternoon.

Police shared a statement online saying officers responded to the accident at 4:23 p.m. in the 1100 block of S. Pine.

Authorities said the child had been struck by a vehicle in the front yard of a residence. They later died at the Stillwater Medical Center.

No charges have been filed, and police described the incident as an accident. It is still being investigated.

"Our hearts go out to the families impacted by this unimaginable loss, as well as the first responders who were involved in this tragic incident," Stillwater Police said.
