A rare collection of Oklahoma City Thunder memorabilia, including Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s game-worn NBA Finals jersey, is set to go up for auction next week at Sotheby’s New York.
The items spotlight the Thunder’s historic 2025 championship season—one that cemented Gilgeous-Alexander’s status as one of the NBA’s brightest stars and delivered Oklahoma City its first-ever title since relocating from Seattle.
The centerpiece of the auction is Gilgeous-Alexander’s black ‘Icon Edition’ jersey, worn during Game 3 of the NBA Finals on June 11, 2025, when the Thunder faced the Indiana Pacers.
Although Oklahoma City lost that game 116–107, the jersey represents a broader legacy. It was also worn in three key Western Conference victories—including a Game 7 series-clincher against the Denver Nuggets and two blowout wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
During the 2025 season, Gilgeous-Alexander pulled off a historic trifecta—NBA MVP, Finals MVP and Scoring Champion—joining only three other players in league history to achieve all three honors in one year. He also became the 12th player ever to record four 50-point games in a single season.
The jersey is expected to sell for around $100,000.
In addition to Gilgeous-Alexander’s uniform, the auction will feature Chet Holmgren’s Game 2 Finals jersey and the official Game 3 ball used during the Thunder’s hard-fought battle in Indianapolis.
Holmgren wore his home jersey on June 8, 2025, scoring 15 points and grabbing six rebounds in a 123–107 win over the Pacers. The second-year center played a critical role in Oklahoma City’s title run, anchoring the defense and averaging 2.3 blocks per game during the season.
The Game 3 basketball, photomatched and authenticated, was used during one of the most dramatic matchups of the Finals. Indiana’s bench overwhelmed OKC’s reserves that night, led by Bennedict Mathurin’s 27-point performance.
Since relocating to Oklahoma City in 2008, the Thunder have experienced their share of highs and heartbreaks—from the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook era to a full rebuild under general manager Sam Presti.
But the 2025 squad, built around Gilgeous-Alexander, Holmgren and Jalen Williams, may be the beginning of the NBA’s next great dynasty. With discipline, depth and a relentless pace, the Thunder’s young core stormed through the playoffs and shocked the league.
Gilgeous-Alexander, drafted 11th overall in 2018, blossomed after arriving in Oklahoma City in 2019. He’s now a 3-time All-Star with career averages of 24.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.
Holmgren, meanwhile, is averaging 16.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game through just two active seasons. Despite an injury setback in his first year, he’s quickly emerged as one of the league’s elite interior defenders.
The live auction at Sotheby’s New York opens next week. Collectors and basketball fans alike will have the chance to own tangible pieces of Thunder and NBA history.
