Tulsa County Commissioners are set to vote Wednesday on whether to rezone a stretch of land in North Tulsa, paving the way for a proposed data center that has sparked both optimism and concern in the community.
The special meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m., where commissioners will consider the rezoning request and potentially take action.
The project is proposed on land between 76th and 86th Streets North, bordered by Sheridan Road and Yale Avenue. The area sits just south of Owasso and includes both residential neighborhoods and undeveloped land.

Supporters of the plan argue that the data center would bring a major economic boost to the region. They say it would create new high-paying jobs and draw investment to North Tulsa.
Neighbors and environmental advocates have voiced concerns about the rezoning request. Some are worried about how close the facility would be to homes, while others have raised questions about potential environmental impacts.
The county commissioners will review the zoning proposal and may vote on it during the meeting.
