Tulsa Fire confirm Turkey Mountain Bike Rescue

Mountain biker suffers broken leg on black-rated 'Where's My Jet' trail at Turkey Mountain, Tulsa. Fire Department Bike Team aids swift treatment and rescue.

Tulsa Fire Department said a Mountain Bike Rescue was conducted Sunday early afternoon around 4:30 p.m.

Units responded to a mountain bike accident at Turkey Mountain where a rider suffered a broken leg while navigating a new downhill trail called "Where's My Jet," which is rated black/expert.

Tulsa Fire Department crews worked alongside EMSA to quickly locate, treat, and safely transport the injured rider from the trail.

This was also a rescue in collaboration with the Tulsa Fire Department Bike Team which was able to pinpoint the patient's location allowing for quick treatment of the victim.

The department encourages riders to stay aware of trail difficulty ratings and take all necessary safety precautions when enjoying the park.
