Tulsa's biggest Fourth of July festival, FreedomFest, is just days away, and organizers started setting up the event Wednesday.

This year, fireworks will be fired off from a new location, so people can watch from other locations.

What time does FreedomFest start?

Gates open at 5 p.m. At River West Festival Park.

How much does it cost?

It's free!

What time does the fireworks show start?

Thousands of fireworks will be fired off for a 25-minute show at 9:30 p.m.

"This festival stands out because it is the largest firework show in the region, I would say. And so, we have people who drive from Kansas City to come to this event because they love how close they can be to the fireworks. They love the volume and the size of the fireworks," said Randy Howell, River Parks Authority.

What can people expect at the festival?

Live music, bounce houses, face painting, a monster BMX team, food trucks, and more.

How many people are expected to attend?

Organizers say they expect about 12,000 people inside River West Festival Park.

What safety measures are taking place?

There will be a heavy police presence from Tulsa Police, a private event security firm, and new technology.

What is the technology being used?

There will be security cameras in the park.

"To be able to help monitor and secure, make sure everybody is safe out here," said Howell.

What can I bring?

You can bring your own food and drinks. It is also recommended to bring a blanket or chair to watch the fireworks show.

What if I only want to come and watch the fireworks show?

Organizers recommend that people only going to watch the fireworks show come much earlier than 8 p.m. And plan where you're going to park or take a ride share.

Where can you watch the fireworks show if you want to stay home?

You can watch the fireworks live on the Tulsa CW and on the News on 6 streaming app at 9:30.
