New Chamberlain Pool opens in Tulsa with free admission days

A brand-new pool is making a splash in Tulsa.

Tulsa city officials and community members will gather Thursday, July 3, at 11 a.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the official opening of the Chamberlain Pool at 4940 N. Frankfort Ave.

A Community Celebration with a ‘First Splash’

Following remarks from Mayor Monroe Nichols, Tulsa Parks Director Anna America, and other local leaders, kids from the neighborhood will help christen the pool with a ceremonial “First Splash.” The pool is expected to open to the public around noon.

Admission will be free on opening day and again on Sunday, July 6.

Part of a Larger Parks Investment

The Chamberlain Pool project is part of a $3.4 million investment funded by the Improve Our Tulsa initiative. In addition to the pool, upgrades are also planned for Chamberlain Park and the nearby Jane A. Malone Community Center — part of a broader effort to improve recreational access and amenities in Tulsa.

Here’s a quick look at the current operating hours and entry fees for Tulsa’s public pools:

1. McClure Pool: Open Tuesday – Saturday, Noon – 6 p.m. | Closed Sundays & Mondays
2. Lacy Pool: Open Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Closed Sundays & Mondays
3. Whiteside Pool: Open Thursday – Monday, Noon – 6 p.m. (Closed through Sunday, July 6 for maintenance. Reopens Monday, July 7)
4. Reed Pool: Open Wednesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Closed Mondays & Tuesdays
5. Chamberlain Pool: Open Sunday–Thursday, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. | Closed Fridays & Saturdays
6. Note: Free entry on July 3 (opening day) and Sunday, July 6

Admission Costs:

1. $3 per person
2. Children under 4 years old enter for free
