Tulsa Police say a juvenile was arrested early Thursday morning after crashing a stolen car during a high-speed chase.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle around 1 a.m. near Apache Street and North Peoria Avenue. Instead, the driver sped off, hit a curb, and launched into the air across Peoria Avenue, police said.

The car continued down a sidewalk for about two blocks before crashing through a fence and coming to a stop in a grassy area.

One juvenile was taken into custody and evaluated by EMSA, who determined the teen was not injured.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash. Police are continuing to investigate.
