A man is in custody after Tulsa County deputies say he dragged a woman from a moving SUV during a domestic dispute in the Turley area.

Deputies responded around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, after receiving a 911 call reporting a woman being dragged by a vehicle. Witnesses told dispatchers that a couple had been fighting, and the woman was trying to exit the SUV when the male suspect drove off, pulling her along with the vehicle.

With assistance from the Owasso Police Department’s drone unit, deputies located the SUV around North Delaware Avenue. Police said the woman was found at the scene with injuries consistent with being dragged.

Investigators obtained a search warrant and arrested 36-year-old Keith Holmes inside a trailer on the property. He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and multiple drug-related offenses.

Deputies also arrested Holmes’ mother, 67-year-old Cindy Holmes, for intimidation of witnesses. Investigators say she attempted to persuade the victim to lie during the investigation.
