Yogis across Green Country are invited to roll out their mats for a unique community celebration happening in the heart of downtown. “Namastreet Yoga” is returning to mark the summer solstice, transforming a stretch of city street into a peaceful outdoor studio.

Organizers say the event is meant to help people decompress, connect, and celebrate the seasonal shift with mindful movement.

Here’s what to know if you’re planning to attend:

1. It’s happening Friday at 6 p.m.

The yoga session kicks off at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 21. Participants are encouraged to arrive early to find a good spot and settle in.

2. Boston Avenue will be closed for the event

Boston Avenue between 4th and 5th Street will shut down for the evening, making room for yoga mats, meditation spaces, and hundreds of people.

3. Hundreds are expected to attend

Organizers say the event has grown in popularity each year, and they’re preparing for a large turnout.

4. It’s a celebration of the summer solstice

The event aligns with the longest day of the year, offering a symbolic chance to reflect, reset and enjoy the start of summer with fellow Tulsans.
