NBA Finals bringing OSU Cowboys Men's Basketball together off the court for team bonding

The Oklahoma City Thunder are in the NBA Finals playing the Indiana Pacers and the OSU Cowboys are taking advantage of that for team bonding watch parties at head coach Steve Lutz's house.

"Well, everybody's going to come over to my house and we're going to watch the game. So we'll have food and swim and play cornhole and those sorts of things." said Lutz "We try to utilize the summer as opportunities to bond and get to know one another. Obviously, we've got a lot of new faces that are coming from a lot of different areas. So this is one of the opportunities for us to do that."

Coach Lutz is known for wanting his team to be very good and well-rounded on the defensive side of the ball, much like the OKC Thunder who like to do the same even at the professional level that you don't see often.

"I don't think that there's a guy on the team that doesn't recognize the fact that an hour away, we've got an opportunity to win an NBA world title this year. When you go to those games, it's phenomenal. It's a great atmosphere. The fans are fantastic. Those guys are fully aware of that."

"I go to the Thunder games, and they're wonderful.Those guys play hard. They play defense. They share the ball. They play the right way. The people in Oklahoma absolutely adore them, as they should." Lutz added

This week the Thunder are on the road for games three and four before returning to OKC for game five on Monday June 16th.
