Visitors can now 'pop in' monthly to the Oklahoma Museum of Popular Culture (OKPOP) for a behind-the-scenes tour. The free public tours are going on while the museum works to raise the remainder of its $18 million fundraising goal.

When Can I Visit?

The public is invited to visit the museum monthly during First Friday Art Crawl. The guided tours are offered every hour from 5-8 p.m. The next one is on Friday, June 6. The Chet Baker Legacy Pop-Up Show will be there performing live from 6:30-8 p.m.

What Can I See?

OKPOP has over 40,000 items in its collection that highlight and celebrate Oklahoma creatives in music, movies, television, comics, and beyond.

On the tours, visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the museum's exhibit plans and collections vault.

Fundraising Update

The museum has reached 82% of its $18 million fundraising goal needed to receive a matching $18 million in funding from the state legislature.

OKPOP said it is about $3 million away, and they have until November to raise the rest of the money.
