Man dies after being pulled from Arkansas River

A man died after being pulled unresponsive from the Arkansas River near Southwest Boulevard in Tulsa, police say.

A man has died after being found unresponsive in the Arkansas River on Saturday, according to Tulsa police.

Officers say they discovered the man floating face down along the riverbank near Southwest Boulevard and Riverside Drive. Emergency crews pulled him from the water and immediately began CPR before transporting him to a nearby hospital.

Despite lifesaving efforts, the man was later pronounced dead. Police say there are no signs of foul play at this time, though the investigation is ongoing.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
