Outdoor Pics With Tess: Haven's rare catch

This is Haven with a rare black gar she caught while fishing with her brother, Cache, near Warner.

According to a fisheries biologist, fish tend to turn a darker color in clear water, but said this gar appears to be melanistic.

Haven was pretty excited about the catch and released it after a few pictures.

On a side note, Haven is also a six-time Oklahoma wrestling state champion!
