As temperatures rise in Tulsa, Gathering Place is inviting families back to enjoy two of its most popular summer attractions: free boat rides and the Mist Mountain splash pad.

Free rides on Peggy’s Pond

Starting Thursday, May 22, visitors can enjoy free kayak and pedal boat rides on Peggy’s Pond. The rides will be offered every Thursday and Friday from 1 to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

No reservations are required, and the activities are open to all ages, though minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Splash pad opens Friday

Beginning Friday, May 23, Mist Mountain’s splash pad will reopen, giving kids a fun way to cool off in the park’s interactive water play area.

Charlie’s Water Mountain still closed

While Mist Mountain is ready for action, park officials say Charlie’s Water Mountain remains closed for maintenance. It’s expected to reopen later this summer, though a specific date has not been announced.
