Two rising stars in Oklahoma’s country music scene are set to take the stage in Copan, bringing their unique sounds and shared appreciation for the local music community to the Ribs & Bibs event at Copan Garage.
Emily Hollingshed is an independent artist based in Tulsa whose music is rooted in traditional country, but she draws inspiration from all genres. She performs both solo acoustic shows and full-band sets throughout Oklahoma and beyond.
Austin Dixon describes his sound as “Rocky Tonk,” a fusion of 90s country and modern rock and roll. In addition to performing regularly across the region, Dixon is also a Ph.D. candidate in meteorology at the University of Oklahoma, where he is studying tornado predictability.
Both Hollingshed and Dixon will perform at the Ribs & Bibs event, part of the Copan Garage concert series, located at 117 N Caney Street in Copan, Oklahoma. The event kicks off Saturday, May 24, at 3 p.m. and features a mix of emerging local musicians and guest talent, along with food prepared by community members.
The artists say the event is more than just a concert, it’s a gathering place that celebrates up-and-coming talent and fosters a sense of musical family.
