A major development is coming to Rogers County, where Emirates Global Aluminum, the world’s largest producer of premium aluminum, has chosen Inola as the site of its new production facility.

The plant will occupy more than 350 acres at the Port of Inola and is expected to generate significant tax revenue, manufacturing jobs and economic opportunities.

“This area has the potential to grow and be a great part of Oklahoma,” said John Flores, an Inola resident of seven years.

Flores said the community is eager for the growth but hopes the town’s charm remains intact.

“It’s still got that hometown, small-town feel. We welcome it here, the community does,” he said.

Regional Impact and Economic Growth

Local and state officials say the facility will not only benefit Inola, but have ripple effects across the region.

“This will be an employer that brings people from all across this region to the Port of Inola,” said Mike Neal, President and CEO of the Tulsa Regional Chamber.

Neal called the $4 billion investment a statewide win, noting that Oklahoma’s business-friendly environment helped seal the deal.

“These international companies have really found Oklahoma, and Tulsa and northeast Oklahoma, to be extremely business-friendly,” Neal said.

Boost for Schools, City Services and Key Industries

City leaders say the increase in tax revenue will support local improvements and schools. The Inola mayor and school superintendent both expressed optimism that the money will help enhance public services and classrooms.

The Governor’s Office says aluminum produced at the plant will support key industries, including aerospace, defense, and automotive manufacturing.

Timeline and Job Creation

The plant is expected to bring 1,000 jobs once construction is complete. A target opening date has not yet been announced, but Neal estimates it will take at least a couple of years to build.
