News On 6 anchor Tatum Guinn is moving to a new time slot that will allow her more time with family while continuing to do the work she loves.
Starting next week, Guinn will join the "Six In The Morning" team and anchor the station’s noon newscast alongside Reagan Ledbetter.
Watch Tatum announce her move to the noon show viewers on Friday:
Guinn, who joined News On 6 in 2022, has been anchoring the 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. newscasts. After returning from maternity leave following the birth of her daughter Margot she said the new shift gives her the best of both worlds — more time at home while staying connected to her newsroom family.
She said the support she received after becoming a mother played a big role in the decision.
"When I told our boss that I was pregnant last year, the very first thing she said is, 'I want you to have both,'" Guinn said. "We feel like you either have to choose family or choose career, and she said I want you to have both."
Guinn begins her new role on May 19 on "Six In The Morning" and the News On 6 noon newscast.
