A family wants answers after a loved one was killed in what police say was a case of road rage a couple of weeks ago.

Police say a man stabbed Miashah Moses after she attacked him and his car with a tire iron.

Her family says they believe there is more to the story, and they want the man charged.

Searching for answers

Moses' family says she's a victim. They say she was going to her cousin's house when she was confronted by the other driver.

The other driver told police acted in self-defense.

Chrisandria Moses says she's still learning how to cope without her daughter, Miashah.

"Taking it one day at a time, but completely devastated, completely devastated," she said.

What we know

Police say Moses was involved in a road rage incident with another driver on May 3 near Admiral and Garnett. The other driver believed she had followed him into his neighborhood.

"In fact, that she was there to go to someone else's house. So they just kind of came in together again. As he came back into the neighborhood, he alleged that she threw some type of tire tool, or what's been identified as a tire tool, at his vehicle," said Captain Richard Meulenberg of Tulsa Police.

The man said she attacked him, so he stabbed her. The man stayed and cooperated with the police and told them it was self-defense.

Moses' family believes he's the one who escalated the situation.

"We don't know what happened in that time, but the problem is, you instigated a situation that you could have just went home, or you could have just called the police," said Keiahmiee Moses, Miashah's sister.

Police say cases like this can be tough because both people were injured.

"That type of thing is up to the district attorney's office," said Meulenberg.

Mourning their loved one

Moses' family wants her to be remembered as a daughter, sister, and aunt who loved her family and will be greatly missed.

"She was always smiling. Had the biggest smile ever, always smiling. She was a good person that did not deserve this at all," said Chrisandria.

Tulsa Police will send their findings to the Tulsa County DA's office, which will decide whether any charges will be filed.
