It’s official: Major championship golf is coming back to Tulsa.
The PGA of America announced that the 2032 PGA Championship will be held at Southern Hills Country Club, marking the sixth time the course has hosted one of golf’s most prestigious tournaments, more than any other venue.

The PGA Championship posted the news online on Tuesday, highlighting the past events at Southern Hills.
Southern Hills previously hosted the PGA Championship in 2022, 2007, 1994, 1982, and 1970. The 2022 tournament ended in dramatic fashion, with Justin Thomas winning in a playoff.
“This is a thrilling day for the city of Tulsa,” said Mayor Monroe Nichols. “The 2022 PGA Championship at Southern Hills was an incredible showcase of our city, people, and capabilities, and we will be even bigger and better in 2032.”

The 2032 tournament fills one of the PGA’s few remaining open years on its calendar and was long rumored to be heading to Tulsa. Officials say the return is the result of a collaborative effort between the City of Tulsa, the Tulsa Sports Commission, and Southern Hills Country Club.
