A Tulsa man is thankful he, his fiancée, and two toddlers are alive after a driver ran them off the road and flipped their car into a ditch.

"I looked back and saw they were still breathing, their eyes were open. My fiancée she was down in my lap," said the victim, Devin Harvey.

Harvey is also frustrated because the other driver didn't stop and hasn't been caught. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the crash that happened along 56th Street near Highway 75 in April.

To make matters worse, Harvey says his dad was killed in Missouri just three days before the hit-and-run crash. Now they don't have a car and have been scrambling to find a way to get to the funeral.

What happened?

Harvey says he was with his fiancée and their two toddlers delivering for Door Dash to make some extra money and got off Highway 75 at 56th Street north. He says the driver in front of them was driving erratically and was swerving into oncoming traffic, so Harvey tried to get around her.

"I looked over to check my blind spot, and she was like literally right there, and she just turned into the door. It kind of pivoted us," said Harvey.

Harvey says he lost control when his car got into the grass and they flipped into a barbed wire fence. The other driver kept going.

"I ain't never flipped in a vehicle. I am just glad that we were good. Once I turned around and saw my babies were good then I kind of felt better," said Harvey.

Harvey says a couple of witnesses stopped to help them until first responders got to the scene.

"Carless, but not hopeless."

Harvey says his car is totaled, and unfortunately, he only has liability insurance, so this isn't covered.

His brother loaned him a car, so he is getting it fixed up this week so he can make it to his dad's funeral in Missouri on Friday.

Harvey says life was finally moving in the right direction for him and his family, and now all of this is a huge setback.

"We just got a house out in North Tulsa, so it was kind of working out, then it just crashed," said Harvey. "Carless, but can't say hopeless because that's what's been keeping me going."

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Harvey and his family:
