A man is in custody after police say he attempted to break into his ex-girlfriend’s home near 71st Street and S Garnett on Wednesday.

Tulsa police and firefighters were called to the scene just after midnight after reports of a man on the roof of a house.

The Tulsa Fire Department brought a ladder truck to assist, but officers say the man initially refused to come down. Negotiators worked for roughly an hour and a half to talk him down safely.

The man was taken into custody and arrested for attempted burglary. Tulsa Police have not released the suspect's name.

Police confirmed no one was hurt during the incident.
