A bargain hunter’s paradise returns to Green Country this weekend with more deals, more towns, and a brand-new name. What started as a modest 100-mile event is now a sprawling 500+ mile shopping celebration: the Oklahoma 500 Mile Yard Sale Extravaganza.
Organizers say this year’s two-day event, set for Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, is the largest yet, with 28 towns participating across Oklahoma.
The event is now in its 15th year, attracting both treasure seekers and weekend adventurers. Originally launched as a 100-mile route, the yard sale has expanded each year. With the latest additions of Pawhuska, Glenpool and Blackburn, the trail now covers well over 500 miles—prompting a fitting name change.
This year’s theme: 'Wheelin’ and Dealin’ Since 2011.'
Expect hundreds of sales—both private and vendor-based—stretching across communities including Cleveland, Hominy, Fairfax, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, and many more.
Last year saw over 600 registered sales across 25 towns, and organizers say that number will likely grow. Participating towns range from big hubs to small rural stops, with residents offering everything from vintage collectibles to household staples.
Yard sales will include:
While the deals are a draw, the event also serves to highlight Oklahoma’s scenic byways, historic downtowns, and local eateries. Visitors are encouraged to take in the sights and hospitality of each community along the route.
This event is also a platform for fundraising, with many civic groups, churches, and nonprofits using it to raise money for community causes.
Planning ahead is key. Sale maps and listings will be available in the days leading up to the event:

Whether you're looking to score a deal or sell your wares, this weekend’s sale offers something for everyone. From quirky finds to classic furniture, there’s no telling what gems you’ll uncover across 500 miles of deals.
