Despite weather delays impacting Saturday’s race schedule, excitement is building at the Health and Fitness Expo, the official kickoff event for Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon weekend.

Located inside the Oklahoma City Convention Center, the Expo opened its doors early Saturday morning, offering marathon participants and visitors a vibrant space to explore before the rescheduled races later in the day.

The Expo will be a great place to hang out and spend time today, whether you are participating in the marathon or not.

The Expo features various vendors showcasing everything from athletic gear and nutrition products to health services and community resources. It's also the central location for packet pickup for runners participating in the 5K, Senior Marathon, and Kids Marathon.

Because of storms earlier in the morning, today's race start times have been delayed:

  1. 5K Race — Now scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
  2. Senior Marathon — Begins at 2:00 p.m.
  3. Kids Marathon — Starts at 2:30 p.m.

Organizers are encouraging the community to come out later today and cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line.

The Health and Fitness Expo isn’t just for participants; it’s a family-friendly event open to everyone interested in fitness, wellness, and the mission behind the Marathon. Visitors are also welcome to stop by the News 9 booth located right at the entrance.

And of course, Sunday will bring the main event: the full Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, where thousands will run to remember the 168 lives lost in the 1995 bombing.

The Health and Fitness Expo continues until 6 p.m.
