A group of Green Country Habitat for Humanity volunteers known as the Tuesday Morning Miracle Workers is celebrating a major milestone: completing their 100th home.

Since 1996, the group has gathered weekly to build homes or craft materials in Habitat’s cabinet shop. In addition to assisting with hundreds of other Habitat builds, the Tuesday Morning Miracle Workers build two full houses each year.

A home dedication ceremony was held Friday, where a family was given the keys to their new home. Longtime volunteer Bob Sanborn says handing over the keys is the best part.

"Well, that’s our payday," Sanborn said. "All the work that we do and the hours spent make it worthwhile. This is what we look forward to."

The Tuesday Morning Miracle Workers say they plan to keep building homes for as long as there is a need.

In total, Green Country Habitat for Humanity says it has provided about 600 homes to families in the Tulsa area.
