OSBI arrests man in connection to stabbing in Warner

A Warner man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed Tuesday night, prompting an investigation by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. on April 22, officers from the Warner Police Department responded to a residence in the 400 block of Fourth Street, where they found an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds.

Following a request from Warner police, OSBI special agents joined the investigation. Authorities identified the suspect as 66-year-old John Edward Chase. Chase was arrested based on evidence collected at the scene.

Chase was booked into the Muskogee County Jail on complaints of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and other complaints.
