The Oklahoma City Thunder's 68-14 season is truly historic—it's tied for the sixth-best record in NBA history and features the largest point differential ever recorded in a season; too many double-digits to mention. I put more weight on road wins than I do on victories at Paycom Center. With 32 road victories, they swept 21 teams this season, showcasing their deep roster.
Which victories stand out to you? Perhaps their games against top Western Conference rivals like the Rockets or Nuggets? It’s remarkable what they did against the East, going 29-1, which is a new NBA record.
Your top five may look different than mine, that’s ok. Let’s jump into my top five wins of the regular season.

Win Number 1 – Oklahoma City 134 Cleveland 114 – Paycom Center, January 16, 2024
The rematch with the Cavaliers turned out to be a big mismatch. Cleveland snapped OKC’s winning streak at ten games the previous week in Ohio. The Thunder left little doubt from the opening quarter, outscoring the Cavs 32-14. SGA shined against the team with the best record in the Eastern Conference – finishing with 40 points. The Cavaliers ran into a Thunderous defense, turning it over 21 times against Oklahoma City.
Win Number 2 – Oklahoma City 118 Boston 112 – TD Garden – March 12, 2025
The Thunder pull off the season sweep on the defending NBA Champions. Without Dub in this game, the Thunder showed why their one of the best teams in the league and doing so in front of the loudest road crowd of the season. SGA – the front runner to win the Most Valuable Player Award finished with 34 points. The victory in Boston also sealed a playoff spot.
Win Number 3 – Oklahoma City 126 New York 101 – Madison Square Garden - March 10, 2025
Weekend road games are always tough, especially against good opponents. The crowds crank up the volume and this night was no different, but Oklahoma City exceled against the Knicks on a Friday night at the Garden. The Thunder won for the seventh time in a row at the world’s most famous arena. SGA once again made a statement for MVP honors, scoring 39 points, doing so in only 29 minutes. The Thunder offense produced 70 points in the first half.
Win Number 4 – Oklahoma City 102 Denver 87 – Ball Arena – October 24, 2024
The Thunder spoils opening night for the Nuggets in Denver, in front of a national audience. The Thunder close out the opening quarter with a 16-to-3 run and never trailed the rest of game. A statement victory right out of the gates against a team that won the NBA Title two seasons ago. Chet Holmgren annoyed the Nuggets with 25 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.
Win Number 5 – Oklahoma City 103 Los Angeles Clippers 101 – Intuit Dome – March 23, 2025
The Clippers had that momentum with Kawhi Leonard back and looking like his old self, they came into the game winning eight out of their last nine games. Even without Chet and Dub, they just relied on their deep bench and the play of Alex Caruso, his steal and clutch 3-pointer were massive late in the game.
