The Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch heads to Parkhurst Farms to take in all the Easter fun and festivities.

News 9 Reporter Addie Crawford is joined by Granny P as she explains the Easter plans at the farm for this weekend.

"We're going to have us the hoppiest Easter egg hunt and games and oh my goodness," she said. "It starts at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning and we'll have all kinds of events."

The farm will have an assortment of adorable baby animals for families and kids to pet and enjoy. They will of course have baby rabbits for the occasion as well.

"We've got baby goats, baby ducks and geese, and a baby llama, pony, baby chickens," Granny P said. "It's so much fun and you get to pet them all."

The day will also feature games for the kids and families to take part in.

"We're going to do sack races, spoon races with eggs, there's going to be prizes and oh my goodness it's going to be a hoppy Easter," she said.

With the weather in question for this weekend, they do have a backup plan. She said "In case the weather doesn't hold out here in Oklahoma, we will have an event on the 26th to replace the one that gets rained out, if it gets rained out."

Granny P makes it a point to show the importance of kids being outdoors, so the event will try and help kids and families get in touch with nature.

"We think that kids need to be in nature a lot because we get on pavement all the time and in front of computers all the time," she said. "Not that they're not okay, but we need to be in nature and understand where we come from and what sustains us."

The Hoppiest Easter Hunt at Parkhurst Farms will happen on April 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weather permitting.
