Not to be outdone by one of the greatest team seasons in NBA history, being employed alongside Shai, Coach Mark, Sensational Sam, and the silent-assassin steady ownership of one Clayton Bennett, OKC radio voice Matt Pinto carries his weight.

Once again, Pinto joined me on The Blitz for a one-on-one interview about all things Thunder. Preferring to get the Q&A length of a slow read of War and Peace, I got 3.5 minutes — which became 3.5 hours of thought-provoking insight to ponder.

My colleague and pal Matt has been OKC’s radio mouthpiece since Day 1 in 2007, offering straightforward assessments, scrutiny of, and free-of-charge in-game editorial analysis of game officials, along with thousands of signature 3-point make declarations of “Ching-Ching, It’s a Thunder Money Ball.”

Last night, OKC won its ninth straight game, putting its record at a mind-numbing 62-12. Yes, sixty-two and twelve. The team is 27-1 against the East, which is led by Cleveland, now three games back of your heroes, leaving OKC with home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. Interestingly, the defending champion Celtics sit 4.5 games back of the Cavs.

The Thunder hosts 15-point underdog Chicago tonight after beating a hot Pacers team that was eventually overwhelmed by a team with better offense than Baker’s Sooners, better defense than the ’85 Bears, and the sound fundamental genius of Coach Iba.

Thanks for checking in. I believe you’ll enjoy this discussion with Matty P.
